Whats New In Town...

For those of you who have the pleasure of spending fun summer weekends in the Hamptons, well... it just got even better. If you couldn't get enough of the hot shops in South and East Hampton well you definitely won't be able to control yourself now!

Diane Von Fusternberg, a Hampton virgin is now opening a brand new store in Southampton featuring the Rock Goddess collection, beach-accessory exclusives and select pre-fall pieces. (Location: 55B Jobs Lane, Southampton)

Hermès, came all the way from Paris to open a new store in East Hampton! The space is about a 2,000 square-foot boutique and features all resort and summer styles from the house's best accessories, ready-to-wear, and some home products. Sadly, this store is only a seasonal shop and opened until September 20th, so I suggest you shop until you drop while you can!
(Location: 63 Main Street, East Hampton)

A second store opening for Malia Mills swimwear is located in East Hampton. These swim suits are the primary swimwear for Theory and I must say they are probably the best swim suits one could ever buy. They come in so many different styles, patterns, colors, along with a complete line of beach wear, sandals, bags, and hats! It would be very wrong to go to the beach this summer and not be sporting one of these items. They also have fashion accessories for men, so ladies get your man something hot too!
(Location: 55 Main Street, East Hampton & 53 Jobs Lane, Southampton)

Here is a list of other stores opening up in the Hamptons with there locations...

Adornments - jewelry
(Location: 83 Main Street, East Hampton)

Coach - handbags, outerwear, and accessories
(Location: 50 Newton Lane, East Hampton)

Edit - clothing featured by Derek Lam, Temple St. Clair, and Ulla Johnson
(38 Jobs Lane, Southampton)

Hampton & Co - clothing & accessories
(60B Jobs Lane, Southampton)

Michael Kors - clothing & accessories
(48 Main Street, East Hampton)

Pink Chicken - children's & women's clothing
(137 Main Street, Amagansett)

Male Model of the Minute

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, I present to you Henry Watkins. A recent recruit of Red Model Management, Watkins hails from Philadelphia, PA. Proving he's got some brains behind that blue steel, he names Salvador Dali as his favorite artist and cops to painting and songwriting in his spare time. Although fresh on the scene and without much in his portfolio at the time of this post, keep an eye on this one. You'll be seeing his face plenty in no time.

George Clooney on Prop8:

"This just should invigorate people to get it back on the ballot in 2010 and 2012 and every two years until all people are allowed a basic civil right."

Couldn't agree more....

Ruppy Dog!

Meet Ruppy (short for Ruby Puppy) a cloned, first ever transgenic canine. What this means, is that if you were to shine an ultra-violet light over her the fluorescent proteins she is made up of would glow a red color. Isn't that something.... She's so adorable I want her!

Karen O'YEAH

Karen O is the perfect leading lady for the June/July issue of Nylon Magazine. Primarily music based, this issue not only touches upon the wild ways of Karen O and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's...but also many other leading (and also up and coming) bands.

I went to a Yeah Yeah Yeah's concert earlier this year, and Karen O was wearing the same awesome kimono type get up. It's fierce! Can't wait to see the issue.

Model Of The Minute: Arlenis

Arlenis Sosa Peña, a 20 year old up-and-coming model, was just signed on to become the newest face of Lancôme. Known for her strong cheekbones and breathtaking smile, this Dominican raised stunner is more than ready to take on the modeling world. With career highlights like opening the Bottega Veneta show in Milan, it is obvious that this is just the beginning.

Above, you can see a picture of Arlenis and her on and off camera boyfriend Rene Rodriguez. They should have children... quickly.

This is too funny.

video

Winner of American Idol, Kris Allen, has already jump started his music career by doing a (hilarious) cover of 'Heartless' by Kanye West. I literally almost peed in my pants when I listened to this. It's almost as good as Jesse McCartney singing "Buy U A Drank."

Enjoy.

This collection has Greenport (an aquatic green-blue), Sag Harbor (a subtle silver baby blue) and Shelter Island (a beautiful robin's-egg blue). Each bottle is priced at $8 each, which is quite expensive, but you do not want to miss out on these extraordinary colors! As a side note, Models in Chanel's fall/winter 2009 collection were spotted rocking these blue nails....and now it is the perfect time to start decking your nails out in these limited-edition blues.

Hope everyone is having the best Memorial Day

 Weekend!! :)

Skin-(care free)

Good skin-care is important, and Murad has done a good job of keeping my face looking healthy. It is a bit expensive, but face products that work are important.

Clean & Clear is a less expensive brand that reap the same benefits as many high-end brands. This is a good cleanser to have when you are breaking out more than usual.

Rosebud's Minted Rose Lip Balm is the best. No explanation necessary, it just does its job.

AHAVA 'gentle eye make up remover' is specially made for delicate skin, and it removes makeup without irritating the skin. I use it all the time and it works really well.

Richard Avedon at I.C.P.

Fabled photographer Richard Avedon, whose prolific career spanned the course of nearly six decades, is being honored with a retrospective exhibit of his work in fashion at the International Center for Photography. Avedon's photographs are remarkable in every sense of the word-- there is an energy that emanates from every one of them, and even the most choreographed fashion spreads carry the suggestion of spontaneity. Although Avedon devoted much of his career to the pages of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, his portraiture is what set him apart from other photographers of his day. Everyone from Andy Warhol to Brigitte Bardot to Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer stepped before his lens. In each and every subject, no matter how imposing a public figure, Avedon was able to capture a moment of remarkable, vulnerable intimacy.

Avedon Fashion: 1944-2000 runs at the I.C.P from May 15th to September 6th.

Chloe Sevign...YAY.

Thank god Chloe Sevigny understands how awesome her style is, it's about time she created a line, and a good place to start is the hip downtown store Opening Ceremony. It's her second line in the last year and it is stronger than EVAAA. I wish those boots were less expensive, but they are so hot it's okay.

On another note, Chloe Sevigny once stepped on my foot at
Santos Partyhouse... it was awesome.

Person to Idolize

This is my overseas girl crush. Her name is Charlotte Casiraghi. I love her for many reasons but her style (obviously) is something that I have always admired. Being the Princess of Monaco, she always exhibits incredible class. She was even named in Vogues Top Ten Most Stylish People (huge accomplishment!!!). And I haven't even mentioned how pretty she is!! You can see for yourself...
